I have a G20 and when I tell people what I drive say "A what?". When people think Japanese luxury sedan they automatically think Lexus number 1 and Acura number 2. Hell, some people dont even know Infiniti is Japanese. I think Nissan is trying to push their product as the 'performance' Japanese car manufacturer. Most of their cars have higher HP ratings that the competition. I think they are hoping that these numbers will help attract new buyers. I think they did a good job with the G35 as I believe this will be infiniti's bread and butter but their quirky styling detracts some buyers. Not everyone cares about performance numbers.
